Cooking Times For Vegetables

On average when you are using a wok, the cooking times for vegetables are very short, between 1 - 8 minutes. Below is a list of cooking times for vegetables using a wok.

Asparagus - 3 minutes

Broccoli - sauté 1 minute, add 2 Tablespoon water, cover and braise for 4 minutes

Celery - 3 minutes

Cucumbers - 3-4 minutes

Cauliflower - sauté 1 minute, add 2 Tablespoons water, cover, braise for 4 minutes

Cabbage - sauté 1 minute, add 2 Tablespoons water, cover, braise for 4 minutes

Carrots - 2 minutes

Bell Peppers - 3 minutes

Mushrooms - 2 minutes

Mung Bean Sprouts - 3 minutes

Okra - 4 minutes

Onions - 4 minutes

Parsley - 1 minutes

Peas - sauté 1 minute, add 2 Tablespoons water, cover, braise for 4 minutes

Scallions - 2 minutes

Snow peas - 2 minutes

Squash - sauté 1 minute, add 2 Tablespoons water, cover, braise for 6 minutes

String Beans - sauté 1 minute, add 2 Tablespoons water, cover, braise for 6 minutes

Tomato - 1 minutes

Watercress - 3 minutes

Zucchini - sauté 1 minute, add 2 Tablespoons water, cover, braise for 6 minutes
