Healthy Desserts - Can there be such a thing?

Here is our list of healthy desserts. Yes, of course there can be! A few things to keep in mind when making desserts healthier are:

1. Go for high fiber - add fruits, nuts and seeds to desserts will make them easier to digest, better for weight loss, and better for diabetes too.

2. Choose organic ingredients - It is my firm belief that most of what makes food so unhealthy and react to terribly in our bodies is the chemical processing, pesticides and herbicides that are used during their lifespan. By choosing organic, we are preserving the nutrients.

3. Be sneaky with substitutions - to this day, one of the yummiest chocolate cakes that I make is using black beans as a substitute to flour. No-one ever knows the difference.

4. Experiment with pure unpasteurized honey, instead of refined sugars in your baking.
