Apple-cherry Cobbler Recipe

A delicious smell and gorgeous apple cherry cobbler recipe.

Ingredients

1 can red tart cherries in water, drained (14.5 ounce can)
Note: Cherries in water are different than cherry pie filling, so be sure to get the right thing.
3 large apples, peeled and cubed
1/4 cup sugar
3/4 cup all-purpose flour
1 1/4 teaspoon baking powder
3 Tablespoon butter, melted
1/3 cup sugar
2 eggs
1 teaspoon teaspoon vanilla
optional: vanilla ice cream to serve

Directions

Preheat oven to 350 F (180C).

Drain the cherries of any liquid.

In a large bowl, combine cherries, apples, and 1/4 cup of sugar.

Spoon mixture into a 9 inch square or round baking dish.

In a new bowl, mix together the flour and baking powder and set aside.

In a large bowl, combine butter, sugar, eggs and vanilla and mix well.

Stir the wet ingredients into the dry flour mixture.

Pour this mixture over the apples and cherries and bake for 45 minutes, or until you can insert a fork into the top batter and it comes out clean.

Enjoy as is or with a scoop of vanilla ice cream.
