This authentic Italian tiramisu recipe is heavenly.
1 lb mascarpone cheese
3 Tablespoons Frangelico
1/4 cup granulated sugar
1 cup heavy whipping cream
1 1/2 cups strong coffee, at room temperature
2/3 cup bittersweet chocolate, shaved
Tools: 8x8 inch dish
In a large mixing bowl combine the cheese, liquor and sugar.
In a new bowl whip the whipping cream with an electric or old fashioned mixer until soft peaks form.
Fold the mascarpone mixture into the whip cream gently.
Layer 1/3 the ladyfingers tightly on the bottom of your dish.
Drizzle 1/3 the coffee over the ladyfingers, trying to saturate them evenly.
Spread 1/3 of the mascarpone mixture on top of the ladyfingers.
Repeat layering two more times.
Sprinkle the shaved chocolate on top.
Cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate at least 8 hours.
