Basic Brownies Recipe

Ingredients

Brownies
3/4 cup cocoa powder
3/4 cup butter
4 large eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla
3/4 cups granulated sugar
1 1/4 cups all purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 teaspoon salt

Chocolate Frosting
3 Tablespoons butter
1 1/2 cups confectioners' sugar
2 Tablespoons milk
2 Tablespoons cocoa
1 teaspoon vanilla

Directions

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

Line a 9x13 pan with parchment paper, and grease the paper with butter.

Melt butter in a large saucepan over low heat, then stir in cocoa.

Remove from heat.

Mix in sugar and vanilla then mix in eggs one at a time.

Stir in remaining ingredients then stir in nuts.

Bake for 30 minutes.

Cool completely, flip pan and peel away parchment paper.

Chocolate Frosting

Melt butter in a small saucepan.

Add cocoa and remove pan from heat.

Stir in remaining ingredients until smooth.

Spread over brownies.
