This beef and carrot stew is cooked in a crock pot and is so easy to throw together early in the day. It is always wonderful to enjoy the aromas of food cooking.
Make a pot of white rice to serve with the stew.
2 Tablespoons butter
2 Tablespoons all purpose flour
1 (8 ounce) can tomato sauce
1/2 cup red wine
3 pounds lean beef cut into cubes
6-8 carrots, peeled an sliced into 1/2 inch rounds
1 Tablespoon dried onion flakes
1 teaspoon granulated sugar
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon dried thyme
1/4 teaspoon garlic salt
1/8 teaspoon cinnamon
This meal will be cooked in the crockpot.
Lets start by melting the butter in a saucepan, stir in the flour and mix until smooth.
Add the can of tomato sauce and the wine and bring to a boil.
Place the prepared carrots and meat cubes into the crock pot.
