Beef And Pork Meatloaf Recipe

This delicious beef and pork meatloaf recipe has a great combination of ingredients and produces a very tasty meatloaf.

Ingredients

2 lbs ground beef
1/2 lb ground pork
1 onion, minced
1 Tablespoon fresh minced garlic
1/4 cup chili sauce
1 cup ketchup, divided
1/2 cup seasoned dry bread crumb
1/4 cup milk
2 eggs, slightly beaten
3 Tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
1 teaspoon dried oregano
2 teaspoon dried basil
2 teaspoons seasoning salt
1 teaspoon fresh ground black pepper
2 Tablespoons brown sugar

(Serves 4-6)

Directions

Preheat oven to 350°F.

Spray a 9 x 5 inch loaf pan with cooking oil and set aside.

Cover a baking sheet with foil and place under the loaf pan, to catch any drippings.

In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, ground pork, onion, garlic, chill sauce, 1/4 cup of the ketchup, bread crumbs, milk, slightly beaten eggs, worcestershire sauce, oregano, basil, salt and pepper.

Using clean hands, mix until well combined.

Transfer the mixture to prepared loaf pan and pack it into the pan.

Place the pan on the foil-lined baking sheet and transfer to the preheated oven.

Bake for 1 hour.

Meanwhile, combine the brown sugar with the remaining ketchup.

After the loaf has baked, remove the meat loaf from the oven.

Drain of some of the fat if desired.

Spoon over the ketchup mixture and spread evenly over the loaf.

Place the loaf back in the oven and bake until the meatloaf is pulling away from the sides of the pan, about 15-20 minutes.

Allow the loaf to sit for 5 minutes before serving.
