This beer braised ribs recipe is very easy to prepare and they are baked in the oven.
Preheat the oven to 375F.
In a large skillet set over medium-high heat, brown the pork on all sides, about 3-4 minutes per side.
Transfer the ribs to a large oven proof dish.
Evenly place the onion slices around the ribs.
Pour over the can of beer.
Cover the dish with a layer of foil and seal around the edges.
Transfer the dish to the preheated oven and bake for about 1 1/2- 2 hours, until the pork is tender.
Remove the dish from the oven.
Carefully pour out the beer.
Using a basting brush, cover the pork with the BBQ sauce.
Return, uncovered, to the oven and bake until the meat is brown and the sauce is thick, about 1 hour more.
Remove from oven and allow the ribs to sit for 5 minutes before serving.
Serve with extra BBQ sauce on the side, if desired.
