1/4 cup unsalted butter
2 cups raspberries, blackberries, blueberries or a mixture, rinsed
1/3 cup granulated sugar

Crumble Topping

1/3 cup soft brown sugar
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 teaspoon ground ginger (optional)
1/4 unsalted butter, chopped
2/3 cup all purpose flour

Preheat oven to 350F.

Grease 4 ramekin dishes with butter. Note - you can make one 9 inch pie plate size as an alternative.

Divide the berries into the 4 dishes, or pour them all into the pie plate.

Sprinkle with sugar.

Mix brown sugar, baking powder and ginger (optional) in a bowl.

In a new bowl, cut the butter into flour to make a coarse texture. make pea-sized pieces.

Add sugar mixture and mix until just combined.

Spoon over crumble topping; it should be no more than 1/2 inch deep.

Divide remaining butter into small pieces and dot over tops of crumbles. Set dishes on a tray so that the overflowing berry juice does not mess up your oven.

Bake crumbles for 15 minutes until bubbling and the topping is golden.

Serve with your choice of cream, ice cream or yogurt.
