Brownies With Peanut Butter Frosting Recipe

Simple, delicious brownies made with a chocolate and peanut butter combination.

Ingredients

Brownies:
10 Tablespoons butter
1 cup granulated sugar
3/4 cup cocoa
1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
2 eggs
1/2 cup all purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon salt

Peanut Butter Frosting:
6 Tablespoons butter, softened
1 cup confectioners' sugar
3/4 cup peanut butter
pinch salt

Garnish:
1 cup mini chocolate chips

Directions

Brownies:

Preheat oven to 325 F.

Line an 8x8 inch baking dish with parchment paper.

Melt the butter over low heat in a medium size saucepan.

Cook until the butter turns a golden brown color.

Remove from heat and mix in the sugar and cocoa. Stir in the vanilla. Stir in the eggs, one at a time until well incorporated. Add the flour and salt and mix until just combined.

Pour the batter into the prepared baking dish.

Bake brownies or 20-25 minutes, or until brownies are set.

(A toothpick inserted will still come out with a few crumbs)

Remove and place onto a cooling rack.

Allow brownies to completely cool before frosting.

Peanut Butter Frosting:

Use and electric mixer to beat the butter, confectioners' sugar, peanut butter, and pinch of salt until light and fluffy and ice the brownies.

Sprinkle chocolate chips on top.
