Ingredients

Squares
3/4 cup butter, at room temperature
1 cup light brown sugar
1/2 cup sugar
2 large eggs
2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract
2 cups all purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 1/2 cups chocolate chips

Garnish
2 cups white chocolate chip melted
1 cup dark chocolate chips melted
1 cup dry roasted peanuts

Directions

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.

Grease a 9x13 baking sheet with butter.

In a large bowl, beat the butter with both sugars at until light and fluffy.

Beat in the eggs and vanilla.

In a separate mixing bowl, add the flour, baking soda and salt and stir until combined.

Beat the dry ingredients into the wet. Add chocolate chips and stir just until blended.

Spread the batter evenly in the prepared pan and bake for 20-25 minutes, until golden.

Remove from the oven and place onto a cooling rack.

While the bars are baking melt the white and dark chocolates in the tops of double boilers over low heat.

Pour the white chocolate over the bars and use a spatula to spread around to coat the top.

Sprinkle the peanuts next, then drizzle the dark melted chocolate over the peanuts to hold them in place.

Slice and serve.
