This chocolate sauce recipe is easy and quick to make and can be served either warm or chilled on ice cream.
Stir the sugar, cocoa and salt together in a small saucepan. Add 1/8 cup of milk and stir in.
Add the butter and turn on the heat to medium. Bring the sauce to a boil and boil for one minute stirring so you do not burn it. If you want it thinner, add a little more milk as it is cooking.
Turn off the heat and stir in the vanilla.
Serve either warm or cold over ice cream.
You can make ahead and keep refrigerated.
