Cream Puff Donuts
Preheat oven to 400 degrees F.
Prepare a cookie sheet. Grease with butter or line with parchment paper.
In a large saucepan, boil the first water and butter.
Combine 1 cup flour,and 1/4 t salt in a measuring cup. Add this mix all at once to boiling water. Whisk in.
Turn heat to low, cook and stir until ball forms.
Remove from heat, add 4 eggs using an electric mixer,one at a time, beating well and fast until smooth.
Drop dough balls onto a greased pan, making a hole in the center with a spoon handle to resemble donuts.
Bake for 25-30 minutes.
Remove and put onto a cooling rack.
In a mixing bowl, using an electric beat the butter, almond flavoring and confectioners' sugar together.
Add the milk one teaspoon at a time until you reach the desired consistency.
You can make the frosting while the donuts are baking so it will be ready.
Cut the cooled donuts in half and spread the frosting in the middle.
Dust with confectioners' sugar.
As with most donuts, these are best the day you make them.
