A healthy and delicious diabetic friendly chocolate recipe that you can indulge in over the holidays. What makes this so healthy is the combination of ingredients. The healthy fats in avocados are important for diabetics to help prevent heart disease, the antioxidants in raw cacao helps to prevent diabetic neuropathy, and the cinnamon is a well known natural helper for blood sugar control. Enjoy this delicious dessert with peace of mind!

Ingredients

3/4 cup almond milk, unsweetened
3 ripe avocados
1 cup raw cacao powder
1/4 cup maple syrup (1 teaspoon of stevia for diabetics)
Garnish
1/2 cup raw cacao powder
1 Tablespoon cinnamon

Directions

Peel your avocados and discard skin.

Place all ingredients in a blender or food processor and blend until creamy and smooth, scrape down the sides as needed.

Pour mixture into 6-8 glasses or bowls and place in fridge and let chill overnight ideally, but up to 3-4 hours is fine too.

For the garnish mix together raw cocao powder and cinnamon and sprinkle liberally over top of mousse.
