Make this garlich french loaf recipe to serve alongside pasta dishes, soups or salads.

Ingredients

1 cup butter, at room temperature
3 garlic cloves, minced
3 teaspoons dried parsley
salt, to taste
1 loaf French bread or baguette

((serves 6)

Directions

Preheat your oven to 300ºF.

In a small bowl, combine the butter, garlic, parsley, and salt. Mix well.

Slice the bread nearly through, diagonally across the loaf in 1 inch thick slices. Do not cut all the way through the loaf. You want the bottom crust to hold the bread together.

Generously spread the butter on both sides of the bread, between each slice.

Wrap the bread in tinfoil and place in the oven for 10 to 15 minutes.

Remove the bread from the oven and remove the tinfoil.

Place the bread on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and return to the oven for another 5 minutes until the top of the bread is toasted.

Remove from the oven and serve immediately.
