Greek Meatballs Recipe

This Greek meatball recipe has a wonderful flavor. If you are looking to try something a little bit different, try this recipe made with a great variety of herbs and spices.

Ingredients

250 grams ground lamb
250 grams lean ground beef
1 cup cooked couscous
1 small onion, diced
3 cloves garlic, minced
1 egg
1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped
1/4 cup fresh mint, chopped
2 tablespoons vegetable oil
1 Tablespoon dried oregano
2 teaspoons ground cumin
1Tablespoon ground cinnamon
1 teaspoon cayenne pepper
1 large jar pasta sauce

Directions

In a large bowl, mix together the lamb, beef, couscous, onion, garlic, egg, parsley, mint, oregano, cumin, cinnamon, and cayenne pepper.

Roll mixture into 1 1/2 inch long meatballs.

In large saucepan, fry meatballs in vegetable oil and cook until brown on all sides, about 6 minutes.

Add the pasta sauce and bring to boil.

Reduce the heat to a simmer and cook, turning occasionally, 10 to 12 minutes.
