Grilled Cheese Sandwich Recipe

This grilled cheese sandwich recipe is fully loaded with fresh tomato slices, cheese and fresh basil.

Ingredients

For each sandwich you will need:

2 slices bread of your choice
1 teaspoon olive oil
1 pinch of seasoning salt
1 1/2 ounces sliced cheese
2 slices fresh tomatoes
2-4 fresh basil leaves
fresh ground pepper

Directions

Mix oil and seasoning salt and use a pastry brush to paint onto one side of both slices of bread.

Preheat a non stick pan to medium heat.

Working on your cutting board, with the seasoned side down add a slice of cheese, tomato slices, fresh ground pepper, basil and another slice of cheese.

Top with the second slice of bread seasoned side up.

Place in the heated frying pan, put a lid over the sandwich and and cook for 1 minute or until the first side has browned.

Flip and cook for an other minute, or longer until the cheese is melted.
