Make this ground chicken breast burger recipe as an alternative to using ground beef with a pasta or rice dish.
Heat 1 tablespoons of olive oil in a large skillet set over medium high heat.
Add the onions and garlic and sauté for 10 minutes, until tender. Set aside to cool.
In a large mixing bowl, combine chicken, parsley, tarragon, thyme, salt and pepper.
Add the cooled onions and garlic to the chicken mixture. Mix until well combined.
With clean hands, form the chicken mixture into 4 patties.
Lightly dust patties with flour.
In the skillet set over medium heat, heat the remaining 2 tablespoons of olive oil.
Add the patties to the skillet and cook for about 3 minutes on each side, until browned.
Pour the tomato sauce over the patties. Sprinkle over the fresh basil and allow to cook for another 10 minutes, until patties are cooked through.
Garnish with more fresh basil leaves.
Serve hot.
