Ham And Mushroom Pizza Recipe

This is a ham and mushroom pizza recipe made on a homemade pizza crust.

Ingredients

Dough

1 cup warm water ( 105 to 115 degrees F)
1 teaspoon granulated sugar
1 package active dry yeast
2 1/2 cups bread flour
1/2 teaspoon salt
2 Tablespoons oil

Topping
1 1/2 cups tomato sauce (or your favorite pizza sauce)
2 1/2 cups (300g) cheddar cheese
12 mushrooms, sliced sliced
200 grams cooked ham cut into slices

Makes 2 10 inch pizzas

Directions

Position the oven rack to the lowest position.

Preheat oven to 450 degrees F.

Add warm water, sugar and yeast into a large bowl and let sit for 5 minutes until foamy.

Stir in oil, flour and salt and knead about 5 minutes.

Add oil to a second boil and use a pastry brush or clean fingers to spread oil around bowl.

Transfer dough to oil bowl and turning once to coat.

Let rise about 30 minutes.

Punch down dough and divide in half; pat each half into two greased round pizza pans with flour fingers.

Bake for 10 minutes or until crust begins to turn golden.

Sprinkle 1/2 cup of cheese on each crust.

Top with pizza sauce, sliced mushroom, ham and remaining cheese.

Bake about 10 minutes or until cheese is melted and pizza is lightly browned.
