Combine the meat, breadcrumbs, applesauce, onion, parsley, Worcestershire sauce, lemon juice and salt and pepper in a medium sized mixing bowl.
Mix well using your hands and then form into patties.
Grill, broil or saute the patties for about 5 minutes on each side.
For each sandwich, layer a portion of lettuce, a slice of tomato, a patty and a generous helping of sprouts onto the bun. For extra crunch, toast the buns for a minute in a skillet.
