In a large sauce pan, with heat at medium, stir together milk, sugar, flour, eggs and salt.
Stir constantly while mixture comes to a boil and begins to thicken.
Remove pot from heat.
Whisk in vanilla.
Pour pudding into four individual serving cups, cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate until chilled and ready to serve.
