Preheat the over to 375 degrees F.
Have ready a 8x5 inch casserole dish.
In a large skillet, melt2 Tablespoons of butter and add mushrooms and onions.
Saute, on medium heat, until mushrooms give out liquid and about half the size.
Pour the liquid off and transfer the mushrooms into casserole dish.
In a small sauce pot, melt 1 Tablespoon of butter and add white wine.
Simmer on medium heat for a 5 of minutes.
Add the cream and sour cream. Stir until combined
Mix in salt and pepper.
Bring it to boil and pour over the mushrooms.
Stir the mixture.
Top generously with cheese and bake for about 10 minutes, until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
