Oh So Easy Chocolate Chip Cookies Recipe

Where all of Grandmother's favorite recipes are found, just like Grandmother makes them, with a little love.

Ingredients

Makes about 12-18 depending on size

1 cup all purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup butter, at room temperature
1/4 cup + 2 Tablespoons granulated sugar
1/4 cup lightly packed brown sugar
1 egg
1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
1 cup chocolate chips

Directions

Preheat oven to 350F.

Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or grease with butter.

Stir together the flour, baking soda and salt.

In a mixing bowl, using and electric mixer, cream together the butter, granulated sugar and brown sugar.

Beat in the eggs.

Add the vanilla and beat until light and fluffy.

Stir in the dry ingredients. Fold in the chocolate chips.

Drop batter using a teaspoon about 2 inches apart on the prepared baking sheet.

Optional: Press cookies down with the back of your spoon if you like a flat cookie.

Bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes or until golden brown.

Remove from the oven and let sit in the pan for 5 minutes.

Transfer the cookies onto a wire baking rack to cool.

Baking Tip: The raw cookie dough batter can be kept in an airtight container in the refrigerator for a week before using or in the freezer for 3 months.
