Old Time Favorite Chocolate Chip Cookies Recipe

This recipe for Chocolate Chip Cookies is an old time favorite, passed down generation to generation.

Ingredients

2 cups all purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon salt
1 cup butter, at room temperature
1 cup granulated sugar
1/2 cup lightly packed brown sugar
2 eggs
1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla
2 cups chocolate chips
Makes about 5 dozen cookies

Directions

Preheat oven to 350˚F.

Lightly grease a baking sheet, or two if you have.

In a medium bowl, sift together the flour, baking soda, and salt.

In a large mixing bowl, using an electric mixer combine and mix together the butter, granulated and brown sugar on medium until creamy. Add the eggs and vanilla and beat until light and fluffy.

Stir in the dry ingredients half at a time until well combined.

Using a wooden spoon fold in the chocolate chips.

Drop the batter from a teaspoon about 2 inches apart on the prepared baking sheet.

Bake only one sheet of cookies at a time for 10 to 12 minutes or until golden brown.

Remove the cookies onto cooling racks. Refill the baking sheet until and repeat the baking process until all your cookie dough is used.
