Add a little extra flavor by zesting these chocolate chip cookies up with a bit of orange.
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Line 2 baking sheets with parchment paper, grease with butter and set aside.
In a mixing bowl,stir together flour, cornstarch, baking powder, baking soda and salt, set aside.
In a large mixing bowl, using an electric mixer, beat butter and sugars on medium high speed until light and fluffy, about 3-4 minutes.
Add the eggs, one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
Add the extracts and orange zest and mix in.
Reduce speed to low and slowly add in dry mixture and mix until well incorporated.
Fold in chocolate chips.
Drop cookies by heaping tablespoonfuls onto the prepared cookie sheet and bake 9-11 minutes.
Allow the cookies to cool on the cookie sheet several minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
Cookies can be covered and stored at room temperature for up to 5 days or frozen for up to 3 months.
