Pizza Bread Rollups Recipe

A Great recipe for pizza bread roll ups, This is a great afternoon snack or lunch that everyone will enjoy.

Ingredients

Dough
2 1/4 teaspoons yeast
1 1/3 cups warm water
3 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
2 Tablespoons olive oil
3/4 teaspoon salt
1 Tablespoon granulated sugar

Fillings
2 teaspoons olive oil
2/3 cup pizza sauce
2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
20 pizza pepperoni slices

Directions

In a large mixing bowl combine yeast and warm water. Stir it around and let sit for 5 minutes of until the yeast is foamy and dissolved.

Add flour, olive oil, salt, and sugar. Mix for 1 minute.

Once all of the ingredients are mixed, knead for 7 minutes.

Shape the dough into a ball and lightly coat with olive oil.

Cover and allow to rise in a warm spot, 1 hour.

Preheat oven to 475F degrees. lightly grease a large baking sheet.

Punch the dough down to release the air.

Divide the dough into two. Roll each half into a ball and let rest in two separate bowls lightly covered for 15 minutes.

Roll out both dough balls onto a lightly floured surface to about 9x12 inches.

Brush the tops lightly with 1 teaspoon olive oil each. Using your fingers, push dents into the surface of the dough rectangles to prevent bubbling.

Spread 1/3 cup pizza sauce on top of each dough rectangle.

Sprinkle 1 cup shredded mozzarella evenly over sauce.

Top the cheese with pepperoni slices.

Carefully roll dough rectangles into long tight logs. cut each log into 6-8 slices.

Bake 20 minutes or until the sides are lightly browned.

Allow to cool for 5 minutes and serve with ranch or desired dipping sauce.
