Quarter Pound Burger Recipe

Oh the quarter pound burger! Gotta love these bad boys.

Ingredients

3 Tablespoons horseradish
1 egg
1/3 cup half-and-half cream
2 Tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
1/3 cup dried onion
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
1/3 cup oatmeal
1 1/2 pounds lean ground beef
8 slices cheese
7-8 whole wheat, sesame seed buns
1 head lettuce
1 tomato

(Serves 8)

Directions

Combine horseradish, egg, cream, worcestershire sauce, dried onion, black pepper, oatmeal and ground beef in a large mixing bowl. With clean hands, mix until well combined.

Divide the meat mixture into 8 portions, about 1/3 cup each, and form into patties.

Transfer patties to the refrigerator and chill for an hour.

Heat your grill to medium and grease lightly with oil.

Gently place patties on the grill and cook for 5 minutes on each side, flipping once.

During the last minute place a slice of cheese on each patty.

To assemble burgers, spread your favorite condiments onto each bun. Place a leaf of lettuce and a slice of tomato on top of condiments. Top with a hamburger patty and another leaf of lettuce.

Serve immediately.
