Skor Cake Recipe

This delicious skor cake recipe is made with chunks of skor candy in the cake and garnish.

Ingredients

Cake
1/2 cup butter, softened
2 cups granulated sugar
2 eggs
4 Tablespoons cocoa powder
1 cup water
1/2 cup buttermilk
2 cups self-rising flour
1/2 skor bar, chopped into fine pieces

Icing
1/2 cup butter, softened
1 1/2 cups confectioners sugar
1 1/2 teaspoon vanilla

Garnish
1 1/2 cups skor bar candy pieces

*You can either buy pieces in bulk section of food stores, or purchase the candy bars and break into small pieces

Directions

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.

Grease and line a 9x13 pan.

Cream the butter and sugar together with a mixer until smooth. Blend in the eggs and cocoa.

With the mixer on low, beat in the water, buttermilk and self-rising flour. By hand blend in the skor bar candy pieces.

Pour the batter into the prepared pan and bake for 40 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean. Cool to room temperature.

To prepare frosting: Cream together butter and sugar with mixer then add vanilla. Spread on cooled cake.

Garnish with skor candy pieces
