A basic buttercream icing recipe that you can use on all sorts of delicious desserts.
In a large bowl, cream together the butter, and vanilla. Blend in the sugar and beat well. Beat in the milk, and continue mixing until light and fluffy. Keep icing covered until ready to decorate.
* Note that you should add the milk a little at a time to get the consistancy you would like.
For Chocolate Buttercream Icing, just beat in the 3 tablespoons of cocoa powder to the vanilla mixture.
