Whole Wheat Banana Muffins Recipe

This is an easy whole wheat banana muffins recipe with an optional addition of chocolate chips and your choice of icing.

Ingredients

3 large bananas
3/4 cup granulated sugar
1 cup ground flax seeds
1 egg
2 Tablespoons milk
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 1/2 cups whole wheat flour
1/2 cup chocolate chips (optional)

Directions

Pre-heat oven to 375F.

Line a muffin tray with paper liners, or grease with butter.

Mash bananas, then mix in flax seeds and egg.

Stir the dry ingredients together then add to the banana mix.

Add milk.

Stir in chocolate chips (optional).

Spoon batter into muffin tray and bake for 20 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
