2 Surprising Foods That Cause Belly Fat

There are 2 surprising foods that cause belly fat, and people actually believe they are "healthy". In my many years studying nutrition and trying every single diet to ultimately put together the best working plan, these foods should actually be removed from the diet, if not eliminated completely.

Everyone now knows that trans fats and high fructose corn syrup are not good for you, so I thought I would not bore you with a discussion on those... Instead, keep reading to discover the 2 foods that may be piling on the weight.

The first food that is considered to be healthy is wheat products. This includes most all products that are made with this grain such as breads, muffins, bagels, cereals, whole grain products, crackers, and on and on. Yet, this is not what you have been taught your whole life.

Most people do not know that a large percentage of the world has some intolerance to the gluten in wheat, and many other grains. Just a slight intolerance can cause weight gain. Celiacs are the most sensitive to grains and must avoid them altogether, but most people don't realize that their digestive systems never really adapted to large amounts of grains particularly wheat, in the diet.

Wheat has only been in the human diet for the last approximately 2000 years, and it was NEVER eaten in such large amounts until the last 100 years. This is a relatively small amount of time compared to the years of a traditional hunter-gatherer diet of nuts, seeds, fruits, meats, and vegetables.

From my own experience, and when watching other people eliminate wheat from their diets for at least 3 weeks, there is almost always a major difference. Most of the time they start losing body fat faster, and they also stop getting headaches and indigestion that has often plagued them for many years. Even skin problems have been known to go away when removing wheat from the diet.

The second example of the surprising foods that cause belly fat is fruit juice.

I believe, and my research has found that most fruits are very good for us. However, we were NOT supposed to draw or process the juice from the rest of the fruit. When we do this, it only gives us the high calorie sugary mixture, and leaves behind the fiber and other beneficial vitamins of the fruit.

When we only drink the juice of fruits, we are not getting the full satisfying effect of the fiber in the fruit. This leaves us constantly craving more carbs. Also, it is medically known that the fiber in whole fruits helps to slow down the blood sugar response when we eat whole fruits compared to just drinking fruit juices.

The fact is this; over-consuming fruit juices will make you fat. But, eating whole fruits helps you to maintain and keep a healthy balanced diet. This is even truer if you avoid processed foods as well.
