This recipe for apple chips is very easy and makes for a healthy snack.
Preheat oven to 170F.
Line 2 baking sheets with parchment paper and oil lightly.
In a bowl, put sugar, lime juice, and water. Give a stir until sugar dissolves.
Using a mandoline, (or a knife if you don't have one) cut apples about 2 - 3 mm thick. Place these in the water mixture.
Drain the liquid and arrange apple slices on the baking sheet making sure they don't touch, sprinkle a bit of sea salt on them.
Bake for about 4 hours, or until apples have dried. Set aside to cool, peel off parchment. Store these in an air tight container.
