Baked Mini Donut Recipe

This recipe for baked mini donuts are a healthier baked version topped with a delicious cinnamon sugar dusting.


1 cup all purpose flour
1/4 cup plus 1 tablespoon granulated sugar
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
1 egg
1 Tablespoon unsalted butter, melted
1/4 cup plus 2 tablespoons buttermilk

2 Tablespoons butter, melted
1/4 cup sugar
1 Tablespoon cinnamon

Preheat oven to 350F.

In a large bowl mix flour, sugar, baking powder, cinnamon and salt.

In a medium bowl whisk together vanilla, egg, melted butter and buttermilk.

Mix dry and wet ingredients until well combined.

Grease a mini donut pan with oil or butter and fill each hole 3/4 full of batter.

Bake for 10 - 12 minutes.

Donuts will be light color and springy to touch.

Allow them to cool in the pan for about 5 minutes before turning them out.


In a medium bowl, combine sugar with the tablespoon of cinnamon in a bowl and have the 2 tablespoons of melted butter ready in another bowl.

Quickly dip each doughnut into the butter and then roll them around in the cinnamon sugar mixture.
