This banana ice cream recipe is easy to make and has the perfect banana flavor.
In a medium saucepan combine sugar and water. Bring to a boil, stirring, until sugar has dissolved. Allow to cool and set aside.
Peel bananas, cut into pieces and add to food processor with lemon juice, blending until creamy.
Stir in the simple syrup and heavy cream and optional chopped peanuts.
Chill mixture for 1 hour.
Freeze according to ice cream freezer manufacturer's instructions.
