A delicious beef soup recipe that is more like a stew than a soup.
Preheat oven to 325°F.
Use a Dutch oven.
Put the flour into a small bowl.
Place the chunks of meat into the flour and toss to coat.
Heat the oil over medium high heat.
Toss the flour coasted meat chunks into the hot oil and brown quickly .
Add the onion, garlic, jalapeņo, beef stock, tomato paste, chili powder and cumin and bring to a boil then turn down to a simmer and place a cover on the Dutch oven.
Place into the preheated oven and bake
2 to 2-1/2 hours, until meat is extremely tender.
Serve as is, or on rice, or folded into warm tortillas.
