Chipit Chocolate Chip Cookies Recipe

Make a big batch of chocolate chip cookies with this recipe. It makes about 6 dozen so if you have an event coming up and you need lots of cookies, this recipe will do the trick!

Ingredients

1 1/4 cups butter, at room temperature
1 1/4 cups granulated sugar
1 1/4 cups firmly packed brown sugar
2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract
3 eggs
4 1/4 cups all purpose flour
2 teaspoons baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
4 cups chocolate chipits

(Makes 6 dozen cookies)

Directions

Preheat oven to 375 degrees F.

Line 2 cookie sheets with parchment paper.

Using an electric mixer and a large bowl, cream the butter. Add the brown and granulated sugar and beat in.

Beat in the eggs, one at a time, then the vanilla.

In another mixing bowl, stir together the flour, baking soda and salt.

Add the flour mixture to the butter mixture, in increments, beating as you add in. When the batter is combined and creamy, stir in the chocolate chips using a wooden spoon.

Drop the cookie dough onto the prepared sheets by rounded tablespoonfuls and leave 2 inches between the cookies.

As this is a amount of dough, you will be baking in batches. Just bake one sheet of cookies at a time.

Bake each batch for 8 to 10 minutes or until light golden brown.

Remove the cookies from the oven onto a cooling rack and let the cookies sit for 5 minutes on the cookie sheet, then transfer the cookies directly onto the cooling rack.
