This chocolate chip chocolate muffins recipe means that every bite is all about chocolate! Kids will like these muffins and there is not that much sugar in them.
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.
Line with paper liners or grease 2 12-hole muffin pans.
In a large mixing bowl stir together the flours, cocoa, sugar, baking powder, baking soda and salt.
In a medium sized mixing bowl, using an electric mixer combine the milk, eggs and oil. Beat into the flour until the flour moist.
On slow speed, mix in the chocolate chunks and 1/2 cup of the nuts.
Divide the batter into the muffin tins, filling each one 3/4 of the way full. Sprinkle additional nuts on the top if desired.
Place into the preheated oven and bake for 18-20 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the middle comes out clean.
Remove to cooling racks, let sit 5 minutes, then move each muffin out of the tin and onto the cooling rack.
