This chocolate chip loaf recipe is a dense and filling cake that is great with afternoon tea.
Preheat oven to 3500F
Grease a loaf pan.
In a mixing bowl, mix together flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, salt, baking soda and sugar.
Add sour cream, eggs and melted butter, and mix in until well incorporated.
Stir in chocolate chips.
Pour batter into prepared loaf pan, and bake for about 55 minutes, or until an inserted toothpick comes out clean.
Remove from oven and place onto a cooling rack.
When the loaf pan is cool to touch remove the loaf from the pan and set to cool on a wire rack to cool completely.
