A fun Recipe for yummy chocolate coated ice cream cones. These are a fun treat that friends and family will love.
Line 2 large baking pans with wax paper, make sure that it will fit in your freezer.
For the chocolate coating: Combine milk chocolate and oil in a medium heat-proof bowl set over a pot of barely simmering water. You can also slowly melt the chocolate and oil in the microwave on medium power in 1 minute increments. Whisk until the mixture is smooth and shiny.
Transfer to a deep container, for easier dipping, and allow to cool for 10 minutes.
Melt white chocolate in a separate bowl.
Working in batches of 6, scoop ice cream into each cone then dip each cone quickly in to the chocolate coating. Shake off excess and place on lined pan. with a spoon, drizzle white chocolate over top. When finished with 6, return the pan to the freezer for 5 minutes. If chocolate coating has begun to thicken, return to microwave for 20 seconds on medium. Repeat with remaining batches.
Cupcake cones can be kept in the freezer until ready to serve.
