These chocolate dipped banana slices are a quick and easy treat that the kids will love.
Peel and cut the bananas into slices, lengthwise.
Line a cookie sheet with parchment paper.
Place bananas evenly in a single layer on a cookie sheet and freeze for 30 minutes.
Meanwhile, pour the toasted coconut into a shallow bowl or plate and set aside.
Place a glass or metal bowl over a pot of simmering water.
Add the chocolate and butter and stir until melted, incorporated and smooth.
Once the bananas are frozen, remove them from the freezer.
Working one at a time, dip a banana slice into the chocolate, then into the toasted coconut and return back to the cookie sheet.
Repeat this step until you have used all the frozen banana slices.
Return the chocolate covered bananas to the freezer for 10 minutes.
At this point, you can serve the bananas or transfer them to a container with a tight fitting lid.
Store frozen bananas in the freezer until ready to serve.
