Ingredients

For the Cake:
2 1/3 cups cake flour
1 1/4 cups granulated sugar
2 teaspoons baking powder
1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
3.4 cup unsalted butter, at room temperature, cut into 2-inch pieces
6 egg whites
1 cup coconut milk
1 cup sweetened shredded coconut
1 vanilla bean, split in half lengthwise

For the Frosting:
1 1/2 cups granulated sugar
6 egg whites
1 1/2 cups unsalted butter, at room temperature, cut into 2-inch pieces
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/4 teaspoon kosher salt
2/3 cup coconut milk

For the Garnish:
1 cup sweetened shredded coconut
