Cookie Press Christmas Cookies Recipe

An Easy and delicious Christmas cookies recipe for a cookie press. This is a family favorite treat made year after year.


Makes 24-36

Tools: Cookie press

1 1/2 cups butter
3/4 cup granulated sugar
2 large egg yolks
3 3/4 cups all purpose flour
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 Tablespoon pure vanilla extract

Raspberry jam for serving (optional)


Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.

In a large bowl, cream the butter and sugar until they are light and creamy.

Carefully separate your egg yolks from the whites, and save the egg whites in an airtight container in the fridge for another recipe or tomorrow’s breakfast.

Add the egg yolks, flour, salt, and vanilla, mixing very well.

Fill your cookie press with the dough and press out cookies 2 inches apart onto a clean baking sheet.

Note: If you have various heads for the cookie press you can make several shapes of cookies.

Bake 10 minutes or until golden, watching they don’t burn.

Transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.

Repeat with remaining dough until all the cookies are baked.

Decorating idea: Just before serving spoon a small amount of jam into the center the cookies.
