Crock Pot Roast Beef Recipe

This crock pot roast beef recipe makes beef that falls is tender and falls apart. It is great for sandwiches.

Ingredients

3 1/2-4 lbs boneless chuck roast
1/2 cup soy sauce
1 beef bouillon cube
1 bay leaf
3-4 peppercorns
1 teaspoon dried rosemary, crushed
1 teaspoon dried thyme
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon fresh ground pepper

12 Buns, split

Directions

This meal is prepared in a 5-quart slow cooker.

Place the chuck roast into the roaster.

In a bowl, stir together the soy sauce, beef bouillon cube, bay leaf, peppercorns, rosemary, thyme, garlic powder, salt and pepper.

Pour the sauce over the roast.

Add just enough water to almost cover the meat.

Turn the crock pot onto LOW and cook for 7 hours or until tender and falling apart.

Remove roast and reserve the broth.

Assembly

To make the beef buns, shred the roast with a fork and serve on buns.

Serve with a tomato sauce or you can also serve the broth on the side for dipping.
