A very yummy recipe for fluffy white cake with fruit, whipped cream and sprinkles. Delicious served with ice cream.
Preheat oven to 350°F. Grease a 8 inch cake pan
Mix shortening, eggs, sugar, vanilla, and milk. In a separate bowl mix flour, baking powder and salt. Then add dry ingredients to other mixture.
Bake for 20-25 minutes. let cool and turn out to cooling rack to cool completely.
To make the frosting. In a large bowl, combine shortening, salt, vanilla, water and confectioners sugar. Beat until light and fluffy.
To assemble the cake, place take on a serving tray, frost and pat sprinkles to the sides of cake. Just before serving, pipe whipped cream into desired decoration. arrange fruit and mint sprigs on top.
