Use this gingersnaps recipe to make the best homemade gingersnaps!
Preheat oven to 350F
Line a couple of baking sheets with parchment paper.
Beat together butter and sugar until light and creamy. Mix in molasses and vanilla until incorporated.
Whisk together flour, baking soda, baking powder, salt, cinnamon, ground cloves, and ground ginger.
Add flour mixture to wet mixture and mix in slowly till incorporated. Then mix on high speed for a couple of minutes.
With a bowl full of granulated sugar, make about 1 inch balls of dough and roll in bowl of sugar, place on baking sheet with enough space for cookies to spread.
Bake for 10 minutes, or until tops of cookies are slightly cracked, let cool for a bit, then take cookies off pan and let cool completely on a wire rack.
