Nutty Crust Strawberry Mousse Cake Recipe

A very yummy recipe for nutty crust strawberry mousse cheesecake. This dessert is delicious served with a strawberry sauce drizzle.


1 cup strawberry yoghurt
1/3 cup granulated sugar
1 cup fresh stawberry puree
1 1/4 heavy cream, whipped
3 teaspoons gelatin soaked in 1/8 cup water
Crumble layers
1 cup all purpose flour
1 cup almond flour
1 cup golden sugar
1/4 cup unsalted butter, cubed
1/2 cup walnuts,chopped fine


Have ready a 8 inch springform pan.

To make the crumb mixture, place all ingredients for crumb layer in a bowl and mix with your hands until well combined and have crumb texture.

Spread 2/3 of the crumbs on the bottom of buttered pan, press them down.

Blend strawberry puree, sugar and yoghurt together.

Soak gelatine and water and allow it to sit for 5 minutes.

Heat the Heat the gelatine mixture over a double boiler untill gelatine dissolves completely. Leave to cool.

Combine gelatine mixture and strawberry yoghurt mixture. Lastly, fold in whipped cream to obtain a smooth pale pink mousse.

Pour mousse over crumb base and regridgerate until set. sprinkle remaining crumble over top.
