This pasta casserole recipe is really easy to make and is good any time of the year. Use your favorite flavor of pasta sauce and a good quality meat.
Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F.
Grease an oven proof dish with butter.
Bring a large pot of water to a boil. Add 1/2 teaspoon salt to the water. Add the pasta and cook for about 8-10 minutes until el dente. Drain when ready.
Using a skillet on the stovetop, cook the pieces smoked sausage, or wieners until they are nicely browned.
Remove the meat to a plate lined with paper towels to remove any fat.
Pour the pasta sauce into a large mixing bowl. Stir in the meat and and the cheeses and salt and pepper to taste. Stir in the cooked pasta.
Transfer to the prepared baking dish.
Cover with aluminum foil and bake foe 25-30 minutes or until it is heated right through and bubbly.
