A very yummy recipe for peanut butter cake with chocolate chips and a creamy chocolate frosting.
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F. Grease a 9x13 inch cake pan.
In a medium bowl, sift the flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt. Set aside.
In a large mixing bowl, add the peanut butter, oil, brown sugar, eggs and vanilla. Beat until combined and creamy. Add the flour and buttermilk, beating just until combined. fold in chocolate chips.
Pour the batter into the pan.
Bake for about 40-45 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the middle of the cake comes out clean.
For the frosting. In a large mixing bowl, combine butter, 1 cup sugar, cocoa powder, and two Tablespoons of milk. Beat until mixed well and no longer lumpy. It will be thick. Add remaining ingredients and beat until smooth and creamy.
