This popcorn shrimp recipe is tasty and if you have people that like shrimp you may need to make extra!
In a large mixing bowl, toss together the shrimp, garlic powder, brown sugar and hot sauce.
Allow shrimp to marinate in mixture for a half hour.
In a separate bowl, whisk together egg and water and set aside.
In another bowl, mix together the flour, cracker meal, bread crumbs, paprika and creole seasoning.
Put the cornstarch in a third bowl.
Heat the oil in a large, high-wall skillet to 350 degrees F.
Roll the shrimp in the cornstarch, followed by the egg mixture, then followed by the cracker meal mixture and then drop into hot oil.
Fry until golden brown and then drain on a paper towel or brown paper. Serve with tartar sauce or cocktail sauce.
