Ingredients
1 Tablespoon of salt, for boiling potatoes and apples4 large baking potatoes, peeled, cut in 1-inch cubes
2 large Fuji apples (or red delicious), peeled, cored, and sliced (slice them just before adding to the pot to keep them from darkening)
1/2 cup salted butter, softened
1 medium onion, sliced
1 and 1/2 pounds Kielbasa sausages, sliced, about 2 1/2 cups
10 slices of bacon
Dash of salt and pepper
1/3 cup chopped scallions, for garnish
